Ryan Gosling leads a cast that gave wonderful performances throughout the entire film. This film is the definition of style with substance.

In this syfy epic Amy Adams portrays Louise, a linguist in a film that fails to communicate any real message. Stunning visuals and a well crafted score help to keep this film entertaining. Denis Villeneuve manages to take a script that was lacking and put something palatable on screen. The heptapods are dope though.

This subdued take on another genre film exemplifies Villenueve's ability to build tension and anxiety within his films. Sicario is a compelling must watch which is par for the course regarding Villenueve's films.
