In part one of our discussion we'll cover the world of Ready Player One, Cline's writing style and the characters. This film was directed by Taika Waititi and was released in 2019. Jojo Rabbit is the Nazi comedy you've been waiting for! This satirical look at WWII Germany delivers an important and dark story while still remaining palatable to a general audience. We really enjoyed this film and hope you do to.

Krampus was released in 2015 and was the first feature length film for director Michael Dougherty, now known for the 2021 iteration of Godzilla vs Kong. Krampus is the best mix of Christmas spirit, comedy and horror you can find. An absolute Christmas classic.

Pan's Labyrinth may be director Guilermo del Toro's most well know film. Released in 2006, this Spanish speaking fantasy follows a young girl named Ofelia and her adventures through a dark fantasy set in fascist Spain. In Part 1 we'll discuss the look of this film, the practical and visual effects and the characters. Stay tuned for Part 2.

Cronos was released in 1993 and is director Gurimo del Toro's first feature length film. Cronos is oddly vague and unimaginative with it's camera work but for a first attempt it is serviceable. del Toro is a unique director and we are thankful that he got another crack at feature length films following the unimpressive Cronos.
